Back before COVID this was often where I would take people I told to meet me in the park since it's actually a shorter walk than some others plus there is a small independent market at 19th and Gurerro where you can get picnic supplies (plates etc) and soft drinks. 5/5 on the white guy in shorts scale.

Big portion if you are hungry and look for cheap find , this is the place . Other than that it's a very standard taco place you can find anywhere in mission. I got a beef head taco and ceviche taco. The ceviche is slightly disappointing , very blended and doesn't feel fresh Beef is alright nothing special .

The last time I wrote a review for Taqueria Cancún was in 2015, and it holds up 7 years later! Still one of my favorite eateries in San Francisco. I love bringing friends here if they haven't been before. The cafeteria style benches are as inviting as ever, inviting spontaneous conversations and friendships with strangers. Back in 2015, it was my first time trying Al Pastor. (Usually I prefer Carne Asada, but I was feeling adventurous.) I ordered the Super Burrito, which was REALLY HEAVY. Like physically. My go-to once I started climbing at Mission Cliffs and walked over was the Carne Asada Quesadilla. Godly and satisfied all my Mexican food cravings. I've since had some super tacos and ceviche. The ceviche was delicious but not the best. They ration their salsa verde (which is very spicy) and their salsa (which is not as spicy) so you might get lucky if you ask them for extra. At least when I used to visit back in the day. For the most part, let them know what you need, and they will accommodate.

Overall pretty average. Flavors were good and I really enjoyed the green salsa. I got a super burrito with Al pastor and chorizo because they had signs that the 'chorizo was back'. Didn't think it was anything too special, but it was definitely tasty. Ended up paying $20 for a super burrito and a large melon flavored agua fresca.

ICONIC YELLOW INTERIOR. Great spot for a mid binge-night rest stop with good super burritos for the hungry and tasty tacos if you just want a snacker. It'll soak up the alcohol and whatever else you are doing and give you energy for a couple more hours out. They are also open at 9am if you want lunch for breakfast. Ordered the holy trinity of mexican meats: carnitas, al pastor, asada in taco and burrito form. They were all delicious though after we learned from a friend the best combo was to mix al pastor and asada into a burrito. The al pastor burrito and the wet burritos are the ones often mentioned in accolades. At times cancun has won 'best burrito' and 'best vegetarian' burrito so it's worth a stop if you've already tried some of the other top spots on Mission. It's much less crowded which is a huge bonus. The free chips were stale and not good, salsas were great though.
